Salo-Salo Project

Under SOMCAN’s Our Health, Our Community (Kalusugan ng Bayan) program, we are launching our pilot project called, Salo-Salo (“Eating Together!”) , a collaborative partnership project with Filipino farmers from Central Valley, CA to provide bi-weekly brown bags of Filipino fresh produce among low-income Filipino households in San Francisco. Our project aims to increase easier access to affordable, healthy Filipino produce, prioritize health through nutrition, and reconnect back to Filipino roots by knowing where food is coming from while supporting the work of farmers.
