Mapping Environmental Injustice

Due to their proximity to the freeways, low-income communities like SOMA, the Tenderloin, Chinatown, the Mission, and the Bayview are disproportionately burdened by air pollution compared to other neighborhoods in San Francisco. We’ve created a series of maps to show how these environmental injustices affect the health of residents living in these neighborhoods.
